    • Create a survey to identify pre-transplant antibiotic practices at liver transplant centers
    • Plan a multicenter study of pre-transplant antibiotic use and outcomes data

    Current Project: Engage members of the HIV working group in research. Initiate a multi-center, retrospective, observational study proposal evaluating the clinical outcomes of belatacept amongst kidney transplant recipients living with HIV.

    Pair Junior TID faculty or fellows with mentors in the field of TID. 

    The goal of this activity include (but are not limited to):

    • Provide support for early career members and members in smaller programs to build their transplant ID programs/services
    •  Provide networking opportunities for mentees 
    • Provide academic, educational, and research guidance and opportunities when possible

    • Developing a proposal regarding surveying pediatric transplant programs regarding use of letermovir in younger populations (e.g., <12yo, <40kg)
    • Develop innovative transplant ID curriculum with PIDS and IDCOP Education Workgroup
    • Feature junior faculty, fellows, residents in journal clubs
    • Provide opportunities for junior faculty and fellows to participate in proposal generation, other talks, survey design, working group publications

    Standardized Patient Info for Safe Living After Transplant

    This workgroup has developed 16 patient-friendly information sheets covering key topics such as travel, food and water safety, outdoor activities, and sexual health.

    What's next (2025–2026):

    • Expansion into new topics (e.g., natural disasters)

    • Spanish translations

    • Content updates and language simplification for improved accessibility
